This place was pretty crowded on a weekend evening, it appeared to be rather popular among the younger crowd. It boasts of "economical western food and homemade nasi lemak". Having eaten there a couple of times, we circled the area and decided to go where the crowd was most. I have a weakness for checquered table cloth......how quaint :o)

Hubby-to-be ordered nasi lemak (RM6.50) for which this place is famous. The beef rendang was very piquant - thick, rich and tender. The sambal was sweetish and came in a generous helping.

The only complaint he had was that there were too few ikan bilis in the fried nuts and ikan bilis mix.

I opted for western and ordered grilled chicken chop (RM10.50). A big slab of succulent boneless chicken leg grilled to perfection arrived. The edges were just slightly burnt for that smoky taste. The gravy was reminiscent of teriyaki sauce with a hint of worchestershire sauce. Really good!

We shared a large, thirst-quenching iced lemon tea (RM4.50).
