What a feast we had here at Restoran Wong Ah Wah, famous for its BBQ chicken wings.

The roast pork noodles (RM13.00) came with lots of lovely bits of siew yoke. The noodles resembled that of wantan mee, and tasted of lard. Very indulgent dish, this.

The fried rice (RM10.00) was mundane after having experienced the roast pork noodles.

I loved the salted egg squid (RM18.00) which was wet and rich with salted-egg paste. Sublime stuff!

Everyone gave the sweet and sour pork (RM15.00) the thumbs-up as well. The earmark of a good sweet and sour pork is that the deep fried meat mustn't be soggy when drenched with the tangy gravy. This one lived up to that criteria.

Mustn't forget our greens, crunchy stir fried kailan (RM10.00) this time.

And of course the
piece de resistance, BBQ chicken wings Wong Ah Wah style (RM12.60). Smoky, sweet, salty, finger-licking goodness.
The total bill for the 5 of us totalled RM89.30, inclusive of drinks. A bit on the pricey side, but very satisfying indeed!

Despite being a tourisy area and price on the high side, i find the food at WAW not too bad at all. You should try their sambal sotong, very nice!
Precious Pea: Ok, I'll try that the next time we are at WAW, thx!
love the wings too, well marinated
i think the wings there aren't great... however i love almost everything else on the menu...
my advice is you should also try their yong tau foo, grilled fish, and my favourite snack - fried cockles....
my second favourite dish is something u've already tried i.e. salted egg squid....
i go there almost every fortnight...
