World of Dim Sum, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur

Bro-in-law wanted to eat roast duck at Sunrise Paramount Garden, but hubby wanted to show the folks around Sri Petaling. So we ended up at the World of Dim Sum which is next to a restaurant that sells roast duck and other hawker food. The 2 restaurants apparently have an agreement to share tables and allow customers to order from both restaurants.

Roast duck and roast pork, this combo platter costs only RM14.00. The duck got the thumbs up from all of us, with its thin crispy salty skin.

Mom (in law) was eyeing the dry curry bihun, so she ordered a plate to share.

Char siew pau with lots of filling.

Sweet and sour minced meatball.
Dim sum (don't know the actual name).
Pork ribs.
More dim sum.

Siew mai topped with fish roe.

Dim sum with prawns inside.

Har kow.

The dim sum here was not the best we've had, but it was ok nonetheless. The bill for the dim sum came up to about RM33.00 for the 4 of us, which was pretty reasonable considering we ordered multiple plates of almost everything!

The retaurant is located on the same row as Restoran Clan and Alison Kopitiam, facing residential houses.

Our rating system for overall satisfaction with what we eat and where we eat....

1-bam = don't even bother
2-bam = good enough to fill the tummy
3-bam = a very good restaurant in its category
4-bam = excellent cooking, worth a detour
5-bam = exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey

We would give World of Dim Sum a 3-bam rating.

That platter looks good for a RM14 plate. World of Dim Sum? That's a pretty big claim :o)

wmw: the food here's pretty economical, we were all surprised the bill wasn't exorbitant, what with us gorging ourselves silly!
