Restoran H.L. Huat, Taman Danau Desa, Kuala Lumpur

We are back, after a week's hiatus. This time, with a review of a restaurant that we often visit. Restoran H.L. Huat serves pretty good food, though the portion can sometimes be a tad small. Nonetheless, they do provide a bucket of (unlimited) rice per table so we always go back with full stomachs.

We recently tried the deep fried salted egg-chicken (RM15.00). This dish tasted marvellous, for any of you who have eaten salted egg-coated-crabs, imagine the same, substituting crab with chicken. It's like butter chicken, but with the salty, rich, eggy taste of salted egg yolks coating the crispy chicken batter. Simply delightful!
We also had sweet and sour pork (RM10.00), which was pretty good as well, though slightly overshadowed by the chicken dish.

The vegetable dish was sweet potato leaves fried with sambal belacan (RM8.00). This dish was crunchy and fresh, though I would have preferred it spicier.

Another dish that is a firm favourite in this restaurant is the claypot local tofu (didn't order it this time around), we shall blog about it the next time we go dine there again.

This restaurant is near the Shell petrol station in Taman Danau Desa (the residential estate where Desa Waterpark is, off Old Klang Road). It is a corner shoplot facing the Danau Idaman Condominium multi-level carpark.
