Having read reviews of this place by WMW and Precious Pea, amongst others, we decided to give it a try. Since it was a weekday, we could not order the famous Sang Chow Loh Mai Fan (Glutinous Rice) which was available only on weekends.
We made do with the fried radish cake, which was pretty good.
The skin of the har kow was a bit thick, and fell off when I took it out of the serving bowl.

The Hong Kong chee cheong fun was ok.
We also had the radish slabs.
And prawns wrapped in lobak skin and deep fried.
The pai kwat here tasted normal.
The meal for 3 persons came up to RM31.10.
Hong Kee Tim Sum
My vote is 3-bams.
The siew mai had a tad too much fatty bits for my liking.
My favourite has got to be the pau with salted egg yolk custard.

The last time i went back (few months back), I found that the quality of the food here dropped drastically. The Sang Chow Loh Mai Fan tasted oily and horrible. :(
Recently went to Jin Xuan for the first time and will not return again. Only the cheong fun tasted ok. Others are below average with thick dumpling skins, overcooked prawns, not so fresh fish paste. Now i wonder should i try Hong Kee.
Hmmm...on the contrary. I went to Hong Kee and felt the standard has dropped while my visit to Jin Xuan was pleasant as the food quality has improved. Good Sang Chow Loh Mai Fan, fragrant and yet not that oily, plus also available on weekdays!
