Restoran Country Kitchen, PJ State

My grandaunt turned 74 on 17th September 2007. To celebrate, we had a family dinner at granduncle's favourite restaurant....Country Kitchen. I did the cardinal sin of eating McDonalds for lunch, and by dinner, I was still bloated with the free Coke refills....did not eat as much as I would have liked to. The portions were huge and even with 10 adults dining, we had leftovers for some of the dishes.

Took some shots of some of the more memorable dishes......I was somewhat distracted......battling with my bloated tummy and grandaunt's constant urging for me to "Eat some more!"

The four seasons platter....loved the crispy salted duck egg+oyster+ham deep fried parcel

Crispy pei pa chicken...to be eaten sprinkled with 5-spice flavoured salt

Steamed cod fish in soy sauce topped with loads of ginger, fresh coriander and spring onions....succulent, fresh, buttery, rich!

Portuguese prawns.....creamy, tangy, crunchy and slightly spicy

Dessert.....smooth peanut broth and wafer-thin Shanghai pancake

Sorry, no pricing details as I did not pay the bill and thought it impolite to enquire. I could not walk after dinner...had to be carted home. Free Coke refills + an overdose of excellent food have been known to result in this.
