Hu Pau @ Water Garden Hawker Centre, Kuah, Langkawi, Kedah

Friday 5th October 2007. Arrived in Langkawi, checked into hotel and was famished. Took the rented car out to Kuah town and started hunting for food. All the seafood restaurants we had on our (pre-googled) list were closed for lunch!

We found this kopitiam and settled for chap fan (economy rice). Had to blog this because the hu pau (custard fish parcel) was excellent! It was spicy and creamy and had lots of fish bits. Very authentically Nyonya, loved it! Also selected the pork fillets stirfried with long beans, Thai style. Tasted of lemongrass and chilli, also excellent! This plate cost me RM4.80....wish I took more hu pau!

Water Garden Hawker Centre (Shares the same premises as Rootian Seafood Restaurant that only opens at night)
Jalan Pandak Mayah 5, Kuah,
07000 Langkawi,
Kedah, Malaysia.

Behind this kopitiam is where the Kuah town Ramadan bazaar is.
