Robson Heights Seafood Restaurant, Off Federal Highway, Kuala Lumpur

The last time mom and eldest bro-in-law were in town (the night before I flew off to the States), the 6 of us dined at Robson Heights Seafood Restaurant. It was an excellent meal for meat lovers (poor hubby!) and we ate till we were completely stuffed. Gobble gobble.

Baked spare ribs in honey sauce (RM36.00). There were 6 ribs in the pile, and they were all deliciously melt-off-the-bones tender. The sauce (sweet and sour, like pai kwat wong sauce) was absolutely heavenly. I could not get enough of this dish!

Thai Style Pork Knuckles (RM45.00). This was huge, crispy around the edges and eaten with a garlic lime juice dipping sauce, it was terrific too.

Sing Kong Tofu (RM 15.00) was alot like wat tan hor with the thick eggy gravy. Pretty good, but overshadowed by the first 2 dishes.

Stir-fried "4 heavenly king" vegetables (RM15.00), delicious, crunchy and the hint of spicy belacan was just perfect.

Just last Saturday we went to this restaurant again with another couple, and had a big deep-fried talapia fish done in Thai style (RM30.00). Excellent! Topped with fresh mango slivers, the gravy was spicy with birds eye chillies and sweet too, very addictive stuff.

We also ordered the sizzling claypot tofu (RM12.00) which had a very tasty seafood-ish (with a hint of wine) gravy.

If you're coming from PJ toward KL on the Federal Highway, take the left exit road for Jalan Tun Sambanthan, right after Volvo. Go up the ramp. At the traffic lights, turn right onto the flyover bridge across Federal Highway, which would take you to another set of traffic lights. Turn left and go straight on (do not keep left or you will end up back on the Federal Highway headed towards PJ) till you see the restaurant on stilts on the hilly part on your right.

We love the food here and would rate it a 4-bam.
